Hardware & Software
Anyone who deals with virtual reality and is looking for XR devices and software often has difficulty finding the most suitable one from the competing headsets and software packages. Some manufacturers offer a confusing line-up, with other XR devices it is not certain how long they will be supported, and all have some significant differences. In addition, XR devices need to undergo specific hygiene protocols for which they need to be suitable.
Our group will discuss the pro and cons of each XR system for the use in the healthcare setting without being guided by marketing claims and conflict of interests of the presenters. Furthermore, the most promising Medical XR systems can be experienced hands-on in our tech area.
Since I was 10 years old, I have been absorbing the topic of "Virtual Reality" (VR) like a sponge. Due to current global developments, the technology can now be used cost-effectively for medium-sized companies for the first time and has reached a technological level of maturity so that it can be used sensibly in a wide variety of application areas.
I see it as my passion to show every interested person/company why VR can be so much more for their business than just an entertaining marketing campaign.
"VR is here to stay, and it's going to change more than gaming" is the latest motto within the industry. My declared goal is to ensure in the long term that the technology is used where it is needed, taking into account ecological, social and economic factors, and does not disappear from the scene, as some voices are currently claiming.
"Sounds crazy" you think?
"Let me convince you" I say!
